This picture reminds me of a true story. When they were first going together a fellow went to the hospital to see his future wife…she had just had surgery. The nurse was happy to see him and told him when his girl friend was coming out of the anesthesia she kept calling for him, “Dexter, Dexter.” The only problem was, his name wasn’t Dexter. The nurse was upset, thinking she had just caused a big problem. But no, the fellow showed her the picture of Dexter he had in his wallet. It was of his girlfriend’s beloved rotweiller.

Awww, a sweet story and a sure sign of her love for Dexter:)
π
Funny! But Dexter does look a bit worried about her.
π
So sweet! π
π
Awwww! I like to think, I’d do the same.
π
A fun story! I think I know other people who this would happen to. I am probably one of them because I dream about out dogs! ?
I wouldn’t be surprised. π
so cute – I can’t imagine how the nurse felt, shall I tell this guy about another guy named Dexter!
π Yes, it was a great story.
That is touching! No one but pet lovers would understand this!
No doubt, but there are an enormous number of pet owners!
I am letting this story! And what a beautiful dog! When Bob had his heart surgery and I went back to see him and he had just come out of that anesthesia, he reached out and grabbed my hand and the first words out of his mouth he kissed my top of my hand and said take that to Jake and baby. That was our two dogs that were at home
How sweet!
Loving. Not l e t t i n g.
Fun story.

Love this story Monk! it warms my heart. xo

I so love that story.
I have a Rottweiler story. One day before I went to work, I got a call from the boss that said for me to let them know when I was on the way. That a big Rottweiler was there and they did not know how he would react to me. So I told them I was headed out the door and would be there in a few minutes.
He of course was delighted to meet me…and stayed out with me in the orchard most of the day. Some salesmen came and not knowing the place headed to see me…they were leary of him, but I did not tell them any better. He did get between us…it was two men.
He as such a lovely dog…my boss took him around to a couple farms he thought he might belong to, but he was theirs. That night there was an ad in the paper looking for him…he was from a lttle community about 3 o 4 miles away…
My boss told them if he ever came again…that they might not get him back…he was only kidding and let them know that he wasn’t serious, but that he really did like the dog.
What a sweet story!
That is so funny!

Glad the guy wasn’t the jealous type:) My brother had a rottweiler…scared me silly although he never bothered me a bit. I’m sure some are wonderful pets, but I’ve read some can really be vicious. I guess it’s all in how you train them.
I’m guessing it’s a combination of nature and nurture, but the training is important.
