Yes I do. This time of year with the lack of color and sunshine makes me feel sluggish. A sunny day always lifts my spirits and once things start turning green it’s like a natural high
Yes, I really get them, and I have felt “blah” for years in January and February. It was especially true when we lived in Alaska. Getting out does help, and the sunny days also help what I know is a vitamin d deficiency.
Sunshine definitely helps, and getting busy helps if I make myself. Also thinking of Lorelei and some of the things she did when little. Such as this…brought on by seeing a dachshund stuck in a bra on some funny show on TV.
When Lorelei was a toddler, they lived in Indy then. They had a friend that got a job where Jeremy worked, and he lived with them for a short while till he found a place of his own. And Lorelei loved him. Well, he came in from work one night, and they were sitting in the living room. And she was off playing, and back and forth. And here she came.
Picture this…their living room had a step down into it. Here she came and had put on one of her mom’s bras over her pjs….she came and set down on that step and crossed her arms and looked at them and just grinned…of course Sarah died laughing and their friend was speechless…
This just absolutely cracks me up every time I think of it.
A bright sunny day sure can lift the mood, but I try not to let things get me down. The past year has definitely been a challenge, but here’s hoping the future will be much different.
Oh definitely – our light is starting to fade, autumn began today and already we are starting to notice itโs fading earlier than a week ago.
Sunny winter days are a bonus for mental health. Thatโs why we head north to Queensland for that all important sunshine vitamin D and sea air full of negative ions
yes, i do get the blahs, not often, but I do get them.. i am a homebody so the lockdown did not hurt me like it did the people who love to travel and go to movies and eat out. we do none of those. i can understand the blahs though. i have tried to figure out a way for Beau to see out the front window.
I hope you manage to find a way for Beau to do that. Kaitlin’s pups used to love to do that when they were in Illinois. I can still picture them on the couch looking out to see what was going on. ๐
Only once in a while. I’m an ‘odd duck’ in that gray, gloomy skies make me happy … not so much bright sunny days. That’s probably a result of having lived in Phoenix, where the sun feels devastating much of the time.
We’re not social animals at all. ‘Happy as a couple clams staying home with our dogs, music and on-line activities.
I’m an ‘odd duck’ too! I love misty or even grey days. but then I always have.
the oppressive heat we have during the summer is harder on me. that’s when it’s sometimes difficult. and the HOT WIND that comes with it always.
I love fresh air. and if it’s cool that’s even better!
I haven’t had the stresses that so much of the awful pandemic has brought to people. I am not a social animal either. I love the internet and my experiences with the friends I’ve made on it. I Treasure them! so it’s all good. I am looking forward to Spring though! I just love change I guess. xoxo
Yes, I do think sunshine helps my mood a lot and I know Levi loves the sun. He’s nap in it, rolls around in its rays on the carpet
I love that image. ๐
I thnk the coming of spring makes us all feel better. But now with covid, it may just be a reminder of all the things that we can do, but shouldn’t!
Let us know how that goes for you. I think things are starting to look up.

Is it almost spring where you are? I hope so.

I imagine Alaska was pretty grim in winter!

What a cute story!

It is starting to look more promising. Fingers crossed!

Good for you! We’re lucky that we get a lot of sunny days in winter. It makes a big difference.
I usually don’t. But the last couple of years has been a challenge. And to top it off, the weather has been great & sluggish more often than not.
GRAY not great
I know! I’ve been noticing your weather on your blog. Fingers crossed.

I love staying home so I can relate. ๐

I prefer winter to summer, so I like autumn even better than spring. And our summers aren’t nearly as hot as yours are. ๐
TOTALLY ME.
Iโve been reading โCut Flower Gardenโ today.
(Thank you ?)
Dreaming and planning what Iโll plant this year!
Come on Spring!

Hurray for catalogs! We can relate to “dreaming and planning” about gardens. ๐
Somehow my comment posted twice!
And the question mark was supposed to be a face heart kiss

I took the repeat comment out. Sorry about the emoji, WordPress can’t handle them. ๐
I have been feeling strangely energized the last few days. I suddenly realized we have had day after day of sunshine. I guess it does affect me.
I’m glad it’s been good for you. ๐
