Without a doubt, we have a TV watcher here – Timber. The sounds of animals or birds catch his attention all the time, and he will go right up to the TV and watch the screen. Misty and Lightning also react, but they insist on looking behind the TV to see where those critters are:)
I thought of you when I wrote this. I remember a video you showed of one of the pups. 🙂
Oh, my, I wish you could see Delta! She loves TV…she will be in another room and recognize when favorite commercials come on and will come running. And I know you don’t really know me, and I would not blame you if you took this with a grain of salt. But she always stands for the National Anthem. Daughter had told me that several times, and we were at her house when a game was coming on…Delta was laying asleep under the dining room table. (It was open concept floor plan) Anyway, it was quieter than most times the national anthem is sung, and I thought she was going to sleep through it, but nope, she jumped up and went and stood in front of the TV and watched.
She does not like women screaming…as it in it concerns her…she comes running for gunshots. But daughter watched a show and for some reason they were actually putting down a dog, and it distressed her so bad.
But oh, the excitement for animals. Even cartoon animals! I had to turn off one show because I was afraid she was going to knock the TV off the stand.
I would love to see that! I saw other videos when I was looking, but some dogs were way too excited and some were distressed about what they were seeing. That bothered me.
Delta really loves horses on screen…we would love to have her meet one in real life.
A lot of times when animals comes on she runs and gets her ball/toy and wants them to play. LOL
Yes, dogs do watch TV. Levi loved shows and commercials with dogs and cats in them.
It’s fun when that happens. 🙂
It is funny that some do watch T.V. and others don’t. I wonder what makes the difference??
They’re like people, they have a variety of tastes. I read that bloodhounds are less apt to be interested because they mainly use their noses and not their eyes.
Gibbs never seems to pay much attention to the tv. I guess he doesn’t like the same things I do…lol
I loved that Budweiser commercial but it’s even better with that dog watching it and barking at just right spot.
I know. It’s so sweet. 🙂
I once had a mongrel dog that attacked the TV if she saw animals moving around. She had issues!
That’s funny!
Beau rarely looks at the TV but he did last week, when a dog was snarling and snapping and trying to attack a man, he came full awake and stared at it until it quit. but i have friends who have dogs that watch and cats that watch.
They and we are all different. 🙂
I wish my girls would!
I suspect it might have something to do with the angle — at our home in Arizona, the TV cut-out was but a few inches from the floor and they’d react to certain noises. Have you seen the one about the dogs watching one of President Trump’s televised news conferences: Every time he’d tell a reporter, “Sit down!” her dogs would sit. (LMAO)
That’s priceless! Thanks for telling me.
I remember our cat, Tahoe, watching animals on TV
I never will forget Hass, loving her DVDs.
Zeke used to watch the Westminster Dog Show with me!
we sat on the sofa together and he watched it. he didn’t watch the commercials though. LOL! 😀 xo
I think that’s so neat! 🙂
Yes, we had a dog that watched all the time and my daughter has had two dogs that watched TV. Cute!!
Yes, it’s adorable 🙂
