The Quality of Our Lives

I assume a lot of you have seen this video of a remarkable young woman:

She reminds me of Duke Ellington’s,

I merely took the energy it takes to pout and wrote some blues.

One of my favorite mantras is

The quality of our lives depends on how we focus our energy and our attention.

Nightbirde is wise enough to have learned that at a very early age. Bless her!

YES! I have watched it many times now. I get tears every time!
I just love her whole demeanor about Life.
I intend to watch it whenever I need inspiration!
in an interview she told the story of how she named herself Nightbirde.
she thought it was a dream. she heard birds singing and it wasn’t light out.
the next night she heard the same thing. it was dark and they were singing their tiny hearts out!
she thought … ‘if they can SING like that in the dark then I can Sing Too!
and I can Survive this Darkest period in my Life!’
she is wonderful. our Cindi was the first to send it to me. and I’m so grateful.
because I don’t watch that show.
now I’m so glad you’ve done a post on it! she deserves to be heard!
I hope Everyone can know her wonderful story!

  4. Ginny Hartzler says:

I found it so sad that not only does she have such a slim chance of living, but she was all alone. Hopefully, no more!

tammy told me the reason she came by herself is “she didn’t want to have her family come out all the way from Ohio if she ‘bombed!’ It sounds as if they’re in close contact.

  5. yes, I had noted when she left the stage there was no one there, of hers…but having heard similar to Jean reply above. Good she has family because it seems she’s been to hell and back but still not clear…wonderful voice and the title of of her song giving anyone the power to just hang with “it’s okay”
