Expectations

This sign reminds me of Simone Biles and the pressure on her to be perfect every time. Good for her for saying not this time.

Maybe I should try this quote on daily life I think it might fit perfectly

I honestly think there is “more to the story” of her dropping out.

From what I read her losing her ability to know where her body was isn’t unusual, and it’s extremely dangerous. Unfortunately for her it happened during the Olympics.

  3. Ann Thompson says:

Love it. I think lower our expectations sometimes is needed.

  4. Made me laugh. The service industry is really hurting for workers right now, so the sign fits the times.

  5. Myra Guca says:

    I love this!
…Almost as much as I love Simone. Good for her, indeed.

  6. Yes I agree with you. She has done an amazing job and I am extremely proud of her.

I agree, this may make it easier for others to speak up about their mental health. From what I hear, the athletes are having an awful time, and more and more are getting sick. That, plus no audience, makes it even harder on all the athletes.

and just Maybe we’re getting to the point that it’s Not ALL Always about the almighty COMPETITION!!! good grief. it makes me tired to even think about the pressure. good for Simone. she is being true to her Self!
and good for Naomi Osaka and anyone else who can keep their Health in perspective in such a pressurized world of sports! we’re not machines. xo
