Walden Pond

Kaitlin, Andy, and I went to Walden Pond one morning. (The pups couldn’t go, so Torben stayed with them and baked more of his fabulous sourdough bread.)

There are more pictures here on Flickr.

as you know… I discovered Thoreau as a teenager and his writings from Walden were so special to me. he affected my life in the best way.

I so would love that cabin! Give me a book to read and a pad of paper to write on….or not. i would love it with nothing at all. Just the peace.

  5. Kaitlin says:

Somehow the photo of you didn’t make it???

  6. Ginny Hartzler says:

Wow, how far away from the pond do you live?

  7. Ann Thompson says:

That looks like a wonderful place. Very peaceful and relaxing.

  8. looking at the natural surrounds (although without all the signs of today) I can see why Walden retreated to such a place. Far from the maddening world that even in his time, would have felt that way. What would he make of “now time…” and can we all go to a cabin in the woods…

photos of you all out and about, look fabulous…

i looked at all the flicker pictures and would truly love to wander those paths through all those beautiful trees, I love trees as much as I love beaches, my two preferred places to walk.

I love that little cabin so much! Not to live in, per se, but the perfect spot to sit and ponder … perchance to capture my thoughts on paper. Thank you for sharing this place with us; I had no idea it existed!
