Another thing we did last Saturday was share our plum harvest. Andy had picked it earlier in the day.
It was only one, and only a couple of inches long, but it was very tasty…Andy managed to pick it just right. We’re hoping for a few more next year.
Some of the simplest things can bring the most pleasure.

absolutely! it’s a gorgeous plum! xo
π
So did you split it between you?
Yes, that was the best part. π
It looks perfect!!! Glad it was so tasty too.
With only one it was a big decision about when to pick it. Andy did a good job. π
YUM. I remember when I was little, we would go to visit my grandparents and my grandfather would walk me out to his plum tree and pick one for me.
We had plum trees when I was a kid, so I know what you mean. π
i love plums, all kinds of plums, this one looks delish. had to laugh at your this is the entire harvest, love it
Having only one plum makes it extra special. π
It looks delicious….
It was. Andy guessed right. π
Our family lived in a house that had a plum tree. One year my father did a pruning job on it – cutting off all the grafting of other varieties – he didn’t know. We planted a green gage several years ago here because the fruits are green birds don’t spot them as easily. We had lots of blooms but for several years only 4-5 plums. Finally it came into its own and this year had close to 60! And they are so good!
Hurray for that! Thatβs smart about the color. π
Better this harvest than none!! I bet it was juicy & lucious.
It was good. π
Indeed! Little things mean a lot.

agree, the smallest treasure is the best…
