A Fun Trip

We had a good time on our picnic yesterday. Our internet connection is a lot faster than our old one, and it’s easy to use.

Our old tradition when we got there was to turn on our router, then look at, take a picture of, the gazing ball. Now I can use the router in the modem and won’t have to turn it on.

The gazing ball is within the circle of this picture taken from my iPhone:

Here it is using my Nikon telephoto lens:

Zoomed:

A fun and successful trip.

I would never have been able to pick it out; you have fantastic eyes!

No, my eyes aren’t good at all. I was excited the first time I could see the ball without binoculars. The light was wrong Saturday so my naked eyes and my iPhone couldn’t see it, but my telephoto lens could. Last month I could see it without binoculars and my iPhone picked it up on 2X zoom.

I couldn’t spot the gazing ball until you zoomed way in

Well, looking & searching for the g. ball in the next to last image, I still can’t spot it. Glad the Nikon zoom works…”I can see clearly now”!!

Spending a day out on your beautiful land is priceless.

Looks like a perfect postcard day!
Remind me, is the gazing ball made from stainless steel? So then, it’s not susceptible to weather extremes or lightning strikes?

  7. Catalyst says:

    That’s a powerful zoom lens.

I meant to look at this on computer last night to see because I sure could not see on my phone…maybe I will remember after while.
