Robot Floor Scrubber

A couple of weeks ago when I went to the store early, I saw this machine supposedly mopping the floors. Click on the photo to see the video.

It did an impressive job of avoiding the shopper, but I’m not sure it got the floor very clean.

Nice idea, but may need some tweaking:)

I have a Roomba that vacuums my rugs, and it goes all around, not just a straight path. They have them for cleaning floors, but it wouldn’t work with shoppers around.

Makes sense for so many square footage to clean.

    interesting.
I honestly don’t know what I think about it! 🙂
my first impulse… yet another machine to do a job. xo

  4. It reminds me of the floor domestic robotic things – my niece has one, says it does a very good job – working it’s way around her house – wherever she begins it’s day – then when it’s mechanics needs charging it appears to make it’s own way to the “charging station plug”

Maybe this one at our market is supplementing the night worker who gives a very clean and this one just mops up the daily customers. I do love how it tries to avoid the shopper who has stopped at a shelf but doesn’t manager to get around said person, as the shopper moves on.

Couldn’t see a video but I could use a robot to clean my floors.

I do wonder what kind of job it does. I have yet to see one…

Good thing it was early in the morning. I’m thinking little children might try and crawl up onto the driver’s seat and take it for a spin!

I don’t think that would be the problem. It would have trouble if people were in all the aisles so it would sit there to avoid hitting someone.
