Amazon Chat Robot

The backup batteries and answering machine were supposed to get here October 28, but they got stuck somewhere. I waited until Monday to contact Amazon, and their chat robot worked just fine. I received the items this afternoon.

The robot was much easier to use than talking to a person, so Amazon gets credit for this one.

wow. interesting that it was easier to use than talking to a real person.
at any rate… glad it all worked out! it’s a new world.

The stuff is probably stuck in containers somewhere. We had some cushioned folding chairs that were unavailable on Amazon. We couldn’t even back order them, even though when I first looked at them you could. The page just said “We don’t know when they will be available.” I kept looking and suddenly the option was there to order so I did, even though it still said they didn’t know when they would be shipped. I got a message today saying they were shipped.

A friend is building a house that will be completed in March. He’s ordering appliances that won’t be available until just before then… not anything special, just delayed due to supply chain issues.

This one apparently originated in the U.S. and they thought it would be delivered on time. I’m guessing they had trucking problems.

I’ve heard of so many people having problems with Amazon deliveries lately. I haven’t used the chat robot yet. Glad to know it worked good.

i have had great results with the chat robot. in fact last week, I returned those bad solar lights and the email came that credit was applied. after waiting for 5 days and the credit did not show in my bank account, i chatted to the robot and within five minutes found that they had put it on a gift card, not a refund. i was fine with that and the robot was kind. ha ha.. just came from your grandogs grand adventure. oh my can Zoe jump

Good to know! I’d much rather chat with a robot v. some rep whose language I find difficult (if not impossible) to understand.

I am glad that you finally got what you needed…and glad to hear the chat robot worked.

  7. the problem I’ve found with these mechanisms is finding the “right lingo” for them to understand. Although, I’ve not used the “chat for a while”

One of my orders, with tracker told me my package had been delivered! I went out, checked everywhere (even neighbors on both sides)…no package! I then contacted the Amazon seller and the tracked it…it was delivered alright! Somewhere in Pennsylvania. I had to wait two weeks to get my order.

Sometimes all we can do is keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. I remember ordering from Sears and Montgomery Wards years ago and having to wait a long time because things were back ordered. Then things got a lot better until Covid came along.

  9. Hootin' Anni says:

Oh well, if you approved it today, and it didn’t show…you read it. That’s the important part.
