I once saw a video of Will Rogers shaking his head and saying that. Andy and I have been shaking our heads a lot lately and saying it too.
I was expecting a package from FedEx today so checked yesterday to see if it was coming. FedEx said they tried to deliver it yesterday and that the delivery was now pending…I could pick it up in Santa Fe if I wanted. What? It said the same thing this morning when I checked, but the sender said it would come today. The sender was right, it came this afternoon, and FedEx sent a message saying it had arrived.
I don’t know what’s going on. (With head shake.)
Anyway, I did know it would come eventually or else I could contact the seller and have a replacement sent. It helps a lot to be patient.
The interesting thing is it didn’t come in a FedEx truck, it was a yellow Penske Truck Rental.

it seems all kinds of weird things are happening with deliveries!

Thanks. The main thing is to expect delays. They’re suggesting everyone do their Christmas shopping early because of it. Fortunately we send very few presents now.
Deliveries have been weird lately. The computer tracking site says one thing and your own eyes tell you otherwise. After a month of accepting mail and packages finally things here are starting to straighten out with all the delivery people finding the right place to drop off stuff.
I can imagine that would be a mess at first! I’m so glad you are finally moved in.
We get a lot if the different trucks…penski, budget, and feel like I am forgetting some other vehicle that really surprised me.
This is the first I’ve noticed that but I’m sure there will be a lot more.
What?!? And who’s going to pay for your gas to Santa Fe and back? Sigh.
We had a mis-delivery again the other night. At least, when I walked over to deliver it, I enjoyed a visit with a neighbor I’d not met before.
I can understand where they were coming from. If someone in Santa Fe wanted the package right away it would make sense.

because of our regions’ lockdown – a big proportion of online shopping for delivery and the main contender has found that accessing more rental vehicles has come to a full stop – as every other service is needing more vehicles. Huge delays on some items…

this is so sad, fedex is going down the tubes fast. a blogger is sending me a harness she has for dogs with beaus problems, i asked her to not use fedex because they deliver our pkgs 3 times now to another address and we have to reorder. they don’t look for it, just say reorder… we have been everywhere looking for packages. once we had a plumber coming to put in kitchen faucets, it was due here 3 days before the appointment. we got an email stating it was delivered. it was no where to be found. i told them i wanted the money back and I would go to Home depot and buy one, this was during the lockdown, i had ordered from HD to keep from going in the store. the day the plumber was here, a lady brought it to the front porch… i will never use fedex, unfortuanaly our OTC from our insurance uses only Fedex and our meds have been delivered twice to wrong address. we don’t know where
That was a major nuisance about the plumber and your medicines. 🙁
I’ve had FedEx deliver to the wrong address twice, and at least once the post office has said a package was delivered but it wasn’t. A couple of times the delivery person has left packages in one of the parcel lockers but keys didn’t work. They’re friendly about it and after we go down to the post office to tell them they will deliver the package to our door. Things are a real mess right now.
