Our sunsets are seldom colorful here, so I took this picture yesterday evening:
Not the best picture, but it was worth a try.
These pictures were taken October 9 as we were leaving the land. They don’t do the sunset justice, but they give the idea.
That was one of the most spectacular sunsets we’ve ever seen.
What are your sunsets like?

I think those pictures are fabulous myself! I’m a sky watcher.
have been all my life! in Colorado when we lived there and old lady taught me to make pictures out of the clouds. I still tend to do that today. 🙂
my apartment entrance faces the west.
we seldom have colorful sunsets. but when we do… they’re Glorious! XO
Sunsets are special. 🙂
Those are spectacular sunsets you’ve photographed! We get some here, too, but I haven’t photographed any for some time.
The main thing is to enjoy them.
I’m never been a sunset or sunrise kind of person – I’m either not up or I’ve already closed up the curtains … (just looked too cloudy tonight, and not really at sunset time…
I would have to go elsewhere to see a sunrise, and mostly I don’t look for sunsets down here. It was a fortuitous accident we saw that one up on the land.
These are great. I never really see the sunset. I’m usually already in my pajamas on the couch. Of course I don’t get to see much of one any way since there are so many houses around here that block the view.
That makes a big difference.
Houses block our view! Your sunset from apt. AND the land are stunning.
I do love the location of our apartment. It’s ideal for a lazy person like myself. 🙂
these are all spectacular, wow! the view from your window is beautiful and if i had to pick a favorite it would be the last one with the tall tree in the sunset. we have spectacualr sunsets most nights, the way to not have one is to drive to the beach with a camera, for sure that is the night there will not be one. ha ha.. the most spectacular sunrise i ever saw was Christmas morning
That’s neat that you have them often. 🙂
Any colorful sunrises/sunsets in our area come with a price: air pollution – usually from fires.
The most spectacular sunset I’ve ever seen was in Washington DC. Our plane landed at the right time and the view from the shuttle blew me away. It was because of the pollution from the Mt. Pinatubo eruption.
Beautiful!
🙂
These are glorious I think….we have great sunsets, but no place here at home to get even a half decent shot.
I wouldn’t have taken these pictures if we hadn’t been at the right place at the right time. Just dumb luck.
Those photos are beautiful, don’t sell yourself short – incredibly beautiful.
We have some lovely sunsets here too – love looking west just as the sun goes down.
I’m glad you get them often. 🙂
Our windows face east so I don’t see sunsets. And I’m never up to see a sunrise. But sometimes the glow in the east from the setting sun is still pretty. Lately, I’ve been mostly watching the moon rise. No photos, though.
The main thing is you get to enjoy them.
Beautiful! Ours are nowhere as spectacular as in Arizona; plus we’ve so many trees in the way. Every now and then, tho’ we’re privy to those my son enjoys out in the country. It’s all good!
Yes, it’s all good!
