Christmas Traditions

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Day.

We don’t do much on Christmas Day itself, but last Sunday we went to the land for a picnic supper and to see the timer turn on our Christmas tree lights for the first time this season.

There was a full moon, so the drive back felt magical.

Then last night we played our favorite Christmas music on the car CD player and took our usual drive around town to see some lights, then up to our favorite lookout place in the mountains to see the lights of our town and all the cities in the Rio Grand valley.

It had been cloudy here during the day.

But we were lucky when we were up there. The air was clear and the stars were bright. That always makes the event special.

Again, we hope you had a great day.

Glad you’ve had a Merry Christmas day!

  3. a quiet day as I’d not planned anything of my normal 25th – and it turned out to be soothing and relaxing in a funny sort of way – no expectations seemed to be the key – the weather is rather hot and humid right now, so nice to have the luxury (as such) of the aircon
today we are just finishing Boxing Day and another quiet day in – although the neighbour who appears to be hoarder found his saw, hammer and some rather loud music … have no idea what he’s doing, but his wife did a lot of shouting in a foreign language!
the only VIP thing I did was order in some more food, coming tomorrow…and a whole lot of reading on my phone…

Sounds like a perfect day. My celebration was on Friday so yesterday was just me and Gibbs and a lot of tv watching.

What a wonderful way to spend the holidays. I really don’t like driving at night or I would have been out for some drives. O, to be young again…I used to love night driving.

Our kids were here yesterday…was such a good time.

    Even magical.
We have a tradition of going to my stepmom’s for Xmas Eve dinner.
I went with my nieces and it was lovely.
I’m glad they still live here.
    I’m so grateful for that.
    xoxo
