I’m afraid I’m more like the cat than I am the pup. My resolution every year is to continue what I’ve been doing, which includes continuing to learn and grow.

What about you?

  1. not a resolution rather it’s a plan to deal with the “elephant in the room” and although it’s still early days the elephant is a little quieter and is happy with the snacks that come his way…

I think I was probably born a naturally highly sensitive people pleaser.
I’m more like the dog. but probably in my mind wish I was more like the Cat!

i love this! It is so funny and true!!!

Kaitlin says it really fits Zoe. Torben was gone for about a half hour today and Zoe was ecstatic when he came back. Jumping up and down and barking with excitement. 🙂

Whatever is taken, which means I will go with “nevermind”

  5. Ann Thompson says:

LOL, I love it. That sure is true too.

  6. Rose says:

I am more the cat as far as resolutions…

Cute cartoon. I am not much of a resolution maker, or keeper. But I am hoping to make cleaning our my photos files a priority.

I wasn’t expecting that last panel. Funny!
I think my ‘people pleasing’ stemmed from a poor self image. Oddly, that ‘tool’ worked to my advantage, particularly in the workplace. I still care what people think, but I’m no longer a chameleon. Color me, somewhere in the middle!

  9. Linda Sand says:

The only resolution I ever kept was to stop making resolutions. 🙂

Better to make small changes than those HUGE resolutions that are too hard to keep. And to pick behaviors rather than outcomes. Choosing to eat heather food at most meals is better than resolving to lose 50 pounds since you win at every meal.

That’s the way I approach change too. Small steps, with a lot of pats on the back, my favorite form of exercise. 😀

  10. Cindi says:

I’ve been the dog but working on being the cat!
My only resolutions are to remember to enjoy the simple things because they are really the BIG things.
And the other is to keep getting better/health wise.

I’m more like the cat too. New Year’s resolutions inevitably get broken sooner or later so why not just keep enjoying yourself as you are and forget about all this well-meaning “self-improvement”.
