Thanks, Sandra!

No swimming for Zoe today. Kaitlin and Torben were going to take the pups to the beach again, but this morning Sandra wrote to tell me to warn them about the tsunami advisory for the west coast. I did, and Kaitlin said it was one of the sweetest things that has ever happened. She says with all the anger in the world our blogging community keeps her believing in people. Amen to that!

Thanks again, Sandra!

We heard about that advisory early this morning. That explosion was quite impressive to watch. We also heard that many of the beaches were closed. Hope all stay safe.

  2. the warning already in place here – I’ve made a short blog post, to let you all know I’m not affected. I’ve selected a couple of links showing what the Tsunami has destroyed in Northland.

    I hadn’t heard about that!
Yeh Sandra, what a good friend.
I agree with Kaitlin, there are still good people
I’m so glad you were able to warn them!

So good that they were warned!

Good job Sandra. I don’t keep up with the news so I had no idea. Bloggers are the best though. I can’t tell you how many times I have been touched by the thoughtfulness of the people who read my blog.

I am so glad they are alright. while watching it on TV I thought OH NO, what if they take the dogs to the beach. the news is saying today there is a lot of damage in different places other countries but no deaths reported. I feel as closet to my e-friends as to my in person friends and probably know more about their daily lives than the friends I see a few times a year here. each time the thought crosses my mind to stop blogging, I just can’t

  8. I never thought of America as a place where tsunami could occur but I get this warning isn’t the first.

This one was fairly mild here. The ones on the West Coast caused by earthquakes can do a lot of damage, And some areas are more vulnerable that others because of the local shape of the coast.

Like others have commented, I had no idea! Grateful, both for weather watchers and good friends. Citizens of Blogville are the best!
