Tempi is usually not a lap dog. She likes to sit on chairs and other furniture, but laps? Not so much. So Kaitlin was surprised when she was on a Zoom meeting and Tempi came in, climbed up on her lap, and sat there.
Kaitlin let her sit and continued with the meeting. But Kaitlin was sitting with one leg over the other, which presumably made her lap inviting, and eventually the top leg started going to sleep. So Kaitlin had to sit normally, which meant less lap area. Eventually Tempi got down and slept by Kaitlin’s feet.
Why the unusual behavior? Will it ever happen again? Who knows? This universe is sometimes a mysterious place.

I have noticed in our Zoom meetings that pets seem to like sitting on laps during that time. I have no idea WHY!

She probably heard her voice and felt the need to respond. Fortunately it wasn’t by barking.
Apparently she sat quietly. I don’t know how much she looked at the person on the other end of the call or how much she just wanted to sit on her mom’s lap.
I can’t stop laughing, this is just toooooo much. I love it. It is a wonder it did not turn the chair over backward. Now Tempi can add to his resume Can Do Zoom meetings. did I say I LOVE IT?

Perhaps she just felt she was being neglected and wanted some attention paid to her. Either that or she wanted to add some very important barks to the meeting.
No barking. She just sat there.
Tempi probably got jealous of who your daughter was spending so much time talking to and wanted in on the action. Or she felt like your daughter need protecting. Dogs are so good at reading our moods.
Maybe not jealous, maybe she just wanted to be with her mom. Kaitlin wondered if Tempi had been feeling under the weather, but as tammy says, only Tempi knows.
