Ten Hugs a Day

I remember years ago someone saying people are happier and healthier if they get at least ten hugs a day. I had forgotten that and decided I could really use those hugs now. Andy’s not much of a hugger, so instead of pestering him, I’ve drafted my teddy bear. It works amazingly well.

Hurray for resourcefulness!

Cox … our internet provider has an ad that is for people living away from their families. they take the jacket like product and plug it into something. I’ve never watched it all that closely. but then each person… the one on the computer in the jacket and the one they’re showing… they both apparently are Feeling the hug! pretty cool I guess. but…
I’m thinking I’d rather hug a teddy bear! lol.

Awww, I’m so sorry! I hope the sweet bear hugs help a lot!

  3. not many hugs happening here either, although I do have a “bear” who is currently on the shelf that holds VIP documents, the small bottle of santizer and I believe a couple of masks – but his friend who is very tiny, is swamped in paper work – I talk to them both most days of the week….

Betty White talked to her stuffed animals too. I’m trying to start to talk more… I’ve gotten out of the habit and mostly my dialogue is internal.

Yep, hugs can make everything better. I better warn Gibbs that we’re starting a 10 hug a day plan.

I had not heard that but I believe it. I need hugs, too.

I love your blog. Andy reminds me of the best parts of my long-ago divorced ex-husband.

Thanks for the recommendation about the bear hug. I live alone and am so desperate for much-needed hugs that I may go out and buy one!

I do not like hugs either, from humans that is, but I do hug dogs and love that and that is as good as a bear for me. My family was not a hugging family, I do not like people hugging me, and since my late life scent allergies it is even worse. someone who has a scent on them sets off my allergies and stays in my nose even after I come home and take a shower. I had explained to the TOPS ladies about this and one kept hugging me. I asked her why. she said because you need a hug and I don’t wear perfume. I said every time you hug me I have to go home and shower, so you do have scent. she said I only wear moisturizer on my face.. this is one of my pet peeves that people who hug think i should too….

  9. I get the best hugs from my pups! My dentist back in Florida always had a goodly assortment of teddy bears in her treatment(?) rooms. All shapes and sizes; and no matter one’s age or gender she strongly encouraged the patient to pick one to hold while she worked. Wasn’t that a great idea?

  10. Good for you, that sounds like a good plan.
