YES I see the elk
is that common a lone elk? Is it out of territory? Is it out of season?
That’s their usual territory but mostly we see them in herds.
Pretty specimen!! I love hearing elk calls from the distant forest.

An elk hunters dream.
It is the start of hunting season and some of the hunters are now camping up there. We see a lot of trailers alone the Dome Road.

I DID see him from a distance! He is very well camoflauged. Are they dangerous if you get too close?
They mostly run from people, but I wouldn’t want to corner one so he couldn’t escape.
