Keeping Andy Warm

This T-shirt reminds me of Andy. He doesn’t wear T-shirts, but he does have trouble with cold, so he has four down sweaters, two up on the land, two down here, to keep him warm.

Andy down here.

Andy up on the land.

Why two in each place? Because zippers tend to break. At the moment the spares are getting new zippers… I dropped them off last Friday and hopefully they will be done long before he needs them.

those jackets are called “puffer jackets” here but whether they are “down filled” is another unknown. I guess the ones you see many people wearing are polyester filled.

it’s somewhat cold here today – it didn’t start out cold but as the day wore on it was cold…so I switched the heatpump back to winter heat mode!

Bob just said to Beau, who wanted Daddy to go in the yard with him, its too cold to go out, I am waiting for it to warm up. I said it’s 73 degrees and bright sun, that is not cold. He freezes all the time and when AC is on has 2 diffferent weight lap blankets on the back of the sofa, he wears shorts for outside and covers his legs with a blanket when in the AC.. we keep the ouse at HIS temp, which is 76, mine would be 74. and he freezes at 76. I told him he can put on clothes or use a blanket, no way to help me when I am hot but AC..

  3. How funny — Tom needs one of those t-shirts, too. We’ve had a crazy warm spell, resulting in our house being 79*. That doesn’t bother Tom in the slightest, but I’m ready to turn on the central A/C and give him an extra blanket.
I used to love the Signals catalogs. I might have to check out that website for old times sake.

I wear long-sleeve shirts and hoodies all year around and use a lap blanket when sitting in my comfy chair. Me? Cold? Why would you think that?

Except at night. I sleep hot so rarely use any covers except on my feet.

    Yes I am weird.

  5. I’m glad he is keeping himself warm. It’s not fun being cold.

We also have his computer and reading chair is a room that we have in the mid-70’s. Notice he’s still wearing his jacket in front of the computer, though.

Phil has trouble with the cold as well. His blood pressure is extremely low, like 100/50.

  7. Hootin Anni says:

Bud is the same. His saviour is sweat pants and sweat shirt.

Seeing the pictures of Andy with the jacket on reminds me of my dad. After I moved out of the house he used to keep the thermostat pretty low and he would always sit around the house with a coat on.
