SAD?

Do the short days of winter ever get you down? Especially if the sun isn’t out? If so, for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, do Christmas lights help lift your spirits?

the lack of sunshine effects me very much, we love sunshine and it is rare for us to go more than one day without it. we have been without it for five days of cold . it did peek out for an hour on 2 days. yes, the fairy lights in the house burned all day and did help. I could never live in a sunless enviroment.

  2. Good morning! Unlike Tom, I’m one of those weird folk who love these shorter, grayer days. Blame it on living in Phoenix so long, the sun’s is not my friend.

  3. I pretty much take each day as it comes. Sunny, foggy, gray. Long or short. None of that really matters much to me.

I like semi-darkness and I have a strong hermit gene so the shorter days don’t bother me.

I do like Christmas lights. But for those of us with S.A.D., they need more then that in the way of light.

It does get me down if we go too many days without sunshine but Wade used to really have a problem with the lack of sunshine.

I’m glad it doesn’t affect you as much as it did Wade. Andy is fine with overcast too, except it affects our solar heating and power up on the land if it goes on for too long.

I get very down on grey dark days.
I’m so happy when the sun shines bright in the windows.
Although I do enjoy rain storms and windy weather too.
Last week it was 24 degrees below with the windshield factor.
    Yesterday it hit 65 degrees!
    That’s the Midwest!
