this is too funny! love it.. I thought wildlife followed the same path all the time, these deer seem to wander back and forth or maybe it is because if there are 3 or 4 that is 12 to 16 hooves.. love the photos.. made me smile
To be fair, I suspect the deer were there before your property was developed.
When we had a cabin up north we were lucky in that the sheriff used a snowmobile to check on the property so we had a packed path to walk from the car to the door. From there we had access to our snowshoes. We went up at least once a month except for November which was deer hunting season so felt too risky to go then. Even though we never saw deer tracks. Bear, yes, in the spring but deer, no.
maybe Andy needs a snow shovel – the movie I went to this last week, the dude had a wide kind of shovel that he scooped the snow in and then biffed it off to the side…it looked about 2′ wide
If Andy made a wider route then maybe the deer would use it as the “pathway”
I guess the deer like the trail that Andy is making. They sure have made a mess of it.
🙂

I wonder if the deer THINK they’re helping? (*grin*)
I’m not sure what they’re doing. 🙂
Oh my, there are definitely a lot of deer prints.
🙂

Andy considered getting out the snowshoes but decided it would be easier in the long run to try to beat a path with his boots.
Are they messing up his path?
Yes. But not deliberately, they’re just doing their thing, whatever that is.

Unfortunately that would be a lot more work.
Those deer sure know how to make a mess.
Yes. It’s neat to have them, though. 🙂
