Most things were shut down in town yesterday while people dug out from the snow.
The Senior Center was not only closed they suspended home-delivered meals for the day,
Those who received home-delivered meals are reminded that ‘Snow Bags’ have been provided with shelf staples just for this type of weather. Please be safe and we hope to be open tomorrow.
Good for them for planning ahead.
It’s not supposed to get above freezing until tomorrow, so we’ll have to see how fast the snow melts down here. (Click on the picture for better resolution.)

so it’s a little chilly outdoors! Still bemused on “snow just lying around”
It started to melt some today.
wow! this is an all new scenario for me. never having lived in this type of weather. the snow bag is a super idea. did not think about it could get so bad they could not cook and deliver. but it makes sense
Snow days are real here. 🙂
I don’t remember home-delivered meals, but theirs is a great initiative — as is the “Plan B”!
Yes, I’m impressed.
Oh my, more snow. Glad to hear that people who rely on home delivered meals have something for days like this.
The folks at the Senior Center were thinking ahead.
Goodness, you still have snow!
We may get some more next week. Hopefully not too much.
10 degrees here this morning. But the sun is shining and the snow and ice are going away.
I think it was 7 down here yesterday morning, very close to what you experience.
Burr….sorry about the weather.
I actually like winter better than summer. That’s because I’m retired and don’t have to go out every day.
