Don’t Worry, They’ll Never See Us.

Yesterday’s post reminded me of a recent New Yorker cartoon. Two aliens were in their spaceship hovering over some humans. One said to the other,

Don’t worry, they’ll never see us. They never look up.

The humans, of course, were all immersed in their smart phones.

As long as the spaceships come between 6:30 and 7 am, I will see them. when walking the big dog, I constantly look UP, watching the birds and trees and sky. the rest of the time my head is buried in one of five devices

  2. Sad, but funny at the same time!

  3. Good point! It’s also so sad.

There is now a condition known as “tech neck”. It comes from holding our heads forward and down as we look at our phones. My head now sits so far forward on my neck that I have to have a pillow under my neck at the dentist’s office because I can’t rest my head all the way back onto their head rest.

    Sadly that’s pretty true.

  6. ummmm that’s fun thought – maybe I have an issue with those things…
