I’m Afraid I’m an Old Fuddy-Duddy

Want to get your stuff in 30 minutes or less? It’s not happening by car or truck – but by drone.

Major retailers are testing them out for instant deliveries of everything, including groceries. But Walmart is in full swing, delivering groceries in the air to you in seven states and expanding to more across the country.
Rossen Reports: Watch how this Walmart drone delivers to a house

Click on the link for the article and for a video of how it works. I’m afraid my reaction is “Gadzooks, just what we need, drones flying overhead.” A friend said, “holy h beejeesus.” That works too.

both words are appropriate! just imagine here, where we are wall to wall with millions of homes in one small area and all the grocery stores doing it, the sky would be black with drones and them crashing into each other and falling on the homes. we just had 2 planes crash into each other midflight in a clear sky and all 4 dead. now i wonder how they deliver to addresses in sky scrapers, apartment buildings. we have millions of those too. love from another old fuddy duddy

I am a peacenik from way back when, but my first thought is, “I’m gonna get a gun and shoot down any drone that comes to my street.” Madsnapper is right – we are already have crises every day in the air, all we need is drones flying around wherever they please, causing air crashes. Not to mention the state of the eggs they deliver. Bah humbug!

  2. Ginny Hartzler says:

Yes, we have seen them around here. But have not had anything delivered by one yet.

  3. Linda Sand says:

    No thanks.

  4. Count me in the Fuddy Duddy club! Like my mother used to say, “Just something else to go wrong.”

  5. Cindi says:

    No thanks!

  6. Ann Thompson says:

I’ll pass on that. I’ve also seen where they have driverless cars delivering pizza.

  7. Hootin Anni says:

Nope…I just can’t see a future in this

  8. No thanks

Now let’s just get the ordinary courier/delivery system with the vehicles and drivers working better!

My supermarket online offers a 30 minute delivery but I’ve never used it…costs a lot more as well.

  9. That would just be crazy. No thank you.
