  1. I can stilll remember when I started school that “miss whatever” looked real old – well she obviously wasn’t as when I was probably in my 50s we had a school reunion and she was there!!!

  2. I remember teasing my mom when she turned 50. Now that seems so young!

when we moved from GA to KY, I was not quite 10, i always thought mother was OLD.. she was only 19 years older than me, which made her 29, wow has that view changed. daddy was 41 and really old ha ha

  4. Ginny Hartzler says:

Same with me. Also, it still remains weird that all my doctors are so much younger than me! Strange to have whippersnappers tell me what to do!

  5. I’m right there with you — nodding along with the other commenters. I think it was the Smothers Brothers who coined our teen fav: “Never trust anyone over 30.” Geeze!

  6. Linda Sand says:

I offended my eye doctor when I called him young. I explained he could be my grandson but he was still a smart, responsible adult. That helped.

  7. Ann Thompson says:

I know what you mean. These days, since my daughter is turning 40, anyone that age is just a kid to me.

  8. So true. That’s a good one.
