Courage

I read this quote the other day and liked it:

I’ve been absolutely terrified every moment of my life – and I’ve never let it keep me from doing a single thing I wanted to do.
— Georgia O’Keefe

I can see how it could be encouraging sometimes, but not as much now as when I was younger.

But when I was looking for a suitable graphic for it, I found this.

Amen to that! Every day.

perfect graphic. I have been full of fear just like Georgia, but mine stopped me from doing a lot of things I should have done.

For sure!! A lovely, true, and encouraging post today!!

  3. Love that graphic!
This quote reminds me of something I saw when Tom was going through his cancer journey: “Courage is looking fear right in the eye and saying, get the heck out of my way, I’ve got things to do.”

  4. It really is a good quote and something to remember. And I wish I was braver.

  5. occasionally I’m brave = and stand up for me v those who believe I should not.

    but now I’m not sure I can…

That picture is perfect. I like the quote but I can’t say I’ve always had courage. Often the fear has kept me from doing things.

I need counselling for this…I get frozen in place with fear and dread. I was not always this way. We live in a much busier area…and I dread having to get out an do anything. Hopefully that will go away…and people are still people wherever you go.
