Another Way of Looking at Things

Has a bee ever landed on you and instead of being scared, you appreciate the possibility you were mistaken for a flower?
Alt National Park Service

The answer is no, I’m afraid of bees, but this made me laugh. No one has ever thought of me as a flower and it’s a fun idea. I’ll keep it in my bag of cheerful thoughts, to pull from on days when we have to make our own sunshine.

    That is a cute thought!
All the same — no matter what their role — bees give me the heebie jeebies!

I once bit into a sandwich that had a bee on it–stung my tongue!

I love the quote!! But really scared of any flying insect that stings!

  4. That is an interesting way to look at things…until the stinger comes out.

  5. Bruce Taylor says:

When I go out to fill the birdbath the bees or hornets or whatever they are hover around me but I fear not and they never sting. They just wait for me to get done and then drink their fill.

  6. oh no Linda, not a nice experience

and no I’ve wary of anything that creates a sting or that matter an itch that won’t let up.

  7. Ann Thompson says:

Never thought of it that way. I wouldn’t like one landing on me though. I’ve been stung in the past and don’t want to be again.

we are having problems with our bees, they came to the powder puffs, and each flower, and there are about 150 of them, has a bee. the problem comes from unseasoalbe cold, they appear to get drunk when it is cold, and they see to sit on warm sources. we had no sun for 10 days, they chose people and dogs to sit on. I am terrified of anything with a stinger. Beau attacks them, and got bit on his tongue. he stands and stares at the humming bush and looks like he is about to attack, i make him stop.

  9. I’m not sure I would let a bee sit on me.
