The Jeep Now Has a License Plate!

We bought the Jeep January 9th, so it’s only been a little over 7 weeks. When our temporary registration expired Andy phoned the dealer to see what had happened. They told him they had been waiting for the title to our trade in. We hadn’t had a trade in, so that should have fixed things, right? Nope. A couple of weeks later Andy phoned again. Oh, his driver’s license had expired, he needed to send a photocopy of the renewed one. After another week or so with no sign of a plate, Andy phoned again. The fellow said it would go out that day, we should get it within a week. No again, another phone call. But the gal Andy talked to said she had it in her hand, we should get it by yesterday.

And yesterday, miracle of miracles, it was in our mail box! For some reason it’s registered to me, not him, but we’ll take it. Now all Andy has to do is find out what happened to the title for the vehicle. Fingers crossed.

Good grief! They should have at least notified you each time! Our car is in both our names, in case something happens to one of us.

Oh no! I’d be so cross … ineptitude is everywhere these days it seems. And no-one seems particularly bothered by it.

  3. Ann Thompson says:

Oh my. Sounds like quite a hassle. Glad you finally got it. Hope you get the title soon as well.

I am echoing Ginny’s Good Grief.. it seems these days no matter what we do, doc visits to license plates, there is almost always a hassle. 7 weeks to get a license plate might be a record. woo hoo you are legal to drive, we have our vehicles in Robert or Sandra, also the house and anything we own.. if one dies no hassle

  5. It shouldn’t be that difficult, sad that some can’t just do their jobs.

  6. Oh my, what an ordeal! Glad you have them.
