I’m Not Completely Out of It

Andy and I like The New Yorker cartoons, so Kaitlin has been giving us gift subscriptions. Yesterday evening Andy came out to show me the latest cover and asked if I knew what it was about.

The New Yorker, March 11, 2024

Andy and I haven’t gone to a movie in years, but I could actually answer him. It was Barbie slapping Oppenheimer because his movie won a lot more awards. He was impressed, and I was pleased I knew the answer. How cool is that?

Clever! I watched the Oscars but not sure I could have put 2-and-2 together.

we are watching the awards on DVR and have not gotten to the slap yet, but I did know because every day I go on EDGE copilot and collect points for gift cards by reading all this stuff. ha ha.. so far I have collected two five dollar gift cards to Amazon and another 2 are almost ready, a few more days of learning stuff and I get paid to learn. I did not think I would watch Barbie but after watching the awards I will if it ever hits free tv

We watched “Oppenheimer” the day after the Oscars. I think it deserved its honors. We haven’t seen Barbie.

I could have sat here all day and never figured that out.
