Updates

We now have the title and registration for the Jeep in both of our names, and Andy finally got a second key for the Jeep. He had to get it made through Lithia Motors and he could finally get it programmed this past Monday.

Today we had a 12:50 appointment for his right eye at Eye Associates, and, as Linda predicted, it wasn’t as crowded at that time. It still took an hour and a half but that was partly because they had to fit another patient in. Andy asked for a 10 o’clock for his July appointment, but we may start asking for one around 1 p.m. for future appointments. If they’re available. (The May appointment for his left eye was already scheduled for 1:00.) I always bring things to work on but I hate to sit for more than an hour or so. During the pandemic I had to wait in the car, but today I went inside and walked in a mostly empty hallway and listened to an Audible book for part of the time. That worked fine.

Before we left yesterday morning I phoned and made an appointment for our new Covid shots this morning at our doctor’s office. It’s been slightly less than six months so we were going to wait a couple more weeks, but it made sense to do it while Andy was snowed out from going up to the land. Also when I phoned the receptionist said they had only a limited number of doses, so it turns out it’s better to get them now.

The past couple of days were also partly messed up because the management put new circuit boxes in the apartments. Busy week!

  1. a good thing to have schedules but agree – too much in one week is always annoying. My schedule is still very low key, must try and decide what “else” I could do in this new city (easily)

We prefer early am for appts, but found if there is nothing early, the best one is 1 pm.. the first one for after lunch break. so glad you were able to wander the halls and not just sit. I wander outside here because of our weather. of course not in mid summer, when a person could melt into the side walks. you did have an interesting busy week. hope the snow melts soon and give Andy access to his mountain retreat and that neither of you have a reaction to the COVID shot

You did have a busy week. I always hate waiting for anything. It makes the time really drag even if I do have something to do while I wait. I always try to schedule my appointments as early as possible.

It sounds like y’all are meeting (and beating!) every little thing that comes your way. I just shuddered, remembering all those pre-technology days of waiting in offices with only ancient uninteresting magazines to occupy our minds.

  5. That is great news on the Jeep. Does sounds like it was a very busy week. Take care and God Bless.

I have had appointments at this time. The receptionist told me the wait is less because we were the first ones after the doctor’s lunch break. NO doctors here are giving the Covid shots, so you are lucky. We have to make appointments at C.V.S.

  7. I used to like early appointments but I’ve moved to afternoon ones too, there is lots less people there.
