Eclipse Reminder – Earth is the only planet that we know of that has a perfect solar eclipse, since our moon happens to be about the exact same size as our sun when seen from the surface.
As far as we know this is a coincidence, and about a one in a trillion bit of luck.

I wish I could go back to Savannah Science Musuem, I went there several times with my kids about 50 years ago and they had an amazing room about all of this with the system set up to show how it works, I did not pay attention, but I would now

While growing up I had little-to-no interest in science; it’s funny how now I enjoy learning OUTSIDE the classroom.
It’s nice being able to learn because we’re curious rather than having to worry about memorizing and passing a test.
