The balloon is drooping more, but it is 5 weeks old:
The bean plant is over 3 months old and is still gradually fading away.
The bean pods were filling out, then started withering:
The blossoms on the plants on the right didn’t do anything except drop off, but it looks as if a new one is forming.
I wasn’t expecting much, but it’s been fun to see what they do.

Lovely photos of the plant ? and the balloon ? is hanging on.
🙂
I have not heard of one of these balloons lasting this long. I’m, trying to think what you can do to save the plant! Maybe just try something different. Either more or less water. Maybe less sunlight…
The plant is supposed to get more direct sunlight than it gets, and who knows about the water. They say water less in winter, but I have no idea how much water to give it. I’m just amazed it has lasted as long as it has.
…we all to hang in there!
Yes!
That’s a long time for the balloon to hang on. The bean plant is really giving it’s all. I should post the sad state of my celery. It’s a bit embarrassing though .
Don’t be embarrassed. Your celery lasted a lot longer than my two attempts did. 🙂
The balloon is sure hanging in there…It has lasted a good while. Looks like the bean plant is enjoying the sun even though it might be struggling a bit. Both have brought you a lot of joy that you have shared with us…this is a big Win.
Yes, It’s been fun to watch. 🙂
this is really a hardy plant, it surprises me how well it has done in the cold weather. so is the balloon, had no idea they last that long..
🙂
That balloon is insane! Love the blue skies!
🙂
Keep on keepin on!
🙂
That’s a nice bunch of hanging in there!
🙂
That balloon’s amazing! Do you suppose the altitude has anything to do with its longevity?
No, the one Andy bought me for Mother’s Day a couple of years ago didn’t last nearly as long.
So sorry to hear that about your balloon and the bean plants.
They both lasted a lot longer than I expected.
Every single thing on this earth has a life and a death.
Yes.
