Why We Couldn’t Have a Husky

My latest doggie fix:

Our lease says that huskies are one of the restricted breeds — we couldn’t have a pup that had 50% or more of their genes. We agree — they are not made to live in apartments.

Things your husky knows about you:

Hurray for the internet and my doggie fixes.

Jury Update:. Andy received this email yesterday:

Your request to be excused from jury service has been reviewed and granted. You have been excused from the term of service for which you were summoned.

Thank you

We expected it, but it’s still a good feeling to get it.

Yay on jury duty! I agree a husky might be a bit much in an apartment…

    …good news!

We have two friends who have husky dogs…they are beautiful and those blue eyes…oh wow! Yay that Andy does is excused from jury duty. Take care and keep these beautiful videos coming…

  4. I have a cousin who never had a dog in her life. She got two huskies. Since I’m not involved in her life I don’t know how that turned out but I think not well. I know I am not suited to this breed. A person needs to know their limitations.

  5. I would imagine it would not be good for a dog that big anyway. To have space to run around.
My high school mascot was a Husky – we were the Hershey Huskies.

Yes, I agree. I think almost any breed does not do well in apartments. They need lots of room and a large yard to continue being a happy dog.

  7. Husky pups required lots of room and lots of love, they are beautiful though. Hooray for officially being excused from jury duty.

  8. Ann says:

There is a woman who lives not far from me that has I believe 3 huskies and she lives in a mobile home. She walks them a lot. She’s trained them to race in the Iditarod too. I’ve seen her during the winter with them hooked up to the sled for their walk.
Good news to receive that mail about Andy being excused

  9. Myra Guca says:

Our “Next Door” app regularly features two Husky brothers on the lam. Their owner allows, they’re regular escape artists.
Good news, seeing that excuse in writing!

  10. Linda says:

Huskies are beautiful and large dogs that need a lot of space…so a house with a yard is the best place for them, plus they need a person or family to be active to take them out a few times a day for long walks.
