Two of These are Easy to Try

The first two exercises are easy to work into my day. I’m still pondering the third one.

I know a lot of exercises I can do, and I have weights, resistance bands, etc., but I mostly don’t do sets of them. Instead I try to work them into my everyday life. For years I also did from 30-60 minutes a day on my NordicTrack treadmill, while I streamed interesting videos on the TV set in my study (using Roku).

Now I’ve switched to 30-60 minutes a day on my Schwinn AirDyne. (It’s less weight bearing and easier on the joints.)

I have my mini iPad rigged up so I can watch videos, play Sudoku, or read on my Kindle app while I peddle, so it’s fun.

I like the way my body feels when I exercise, and it makes me happy.

What about you?

I will add these three to my balance exercises. I do balance exercises every day, I do alternate days, these will go on one day, PT said don’t do the exact same ones every day, a set for one day a set for another day….I have been doing them since 2015

I hate to admit that there is very little exercise in my day. I’ve tried to make it a regular part of my day but I just can’t seem to stick with it.

…I’m moving rather slowly this morning.

I always feel better when I exercise but it’s also the first thing I give up when feeling overwhelmed.

The Schwinn looks awesome! The exercises are ones I haven’t seen before. Pretty sure I could not do the last one.

  6. I have that same Schwinn AirDyne and I have ridden that for decades Monday through Friday. I give myself the weekend off. You have that reading material set high – you must be tall. My husband made one for me! lol

    I love the Schwinn!

I didn’t use mine for years, and it takes up a lot of space, but I didn’t have the heart to give it away. I’m glad I didn’t!

  8. I broke a toe a while back so I’m not getting nearly enough exercise.

Unfortunately, exercise and I aren’t on friendly terms. Now, however, the state of my aging hip makes reconciliation a necessity. These are all great clips!

    Exercise is so important

Dave and I did a set of the sitting ones today with hopes of doing them regularly. I set a reminder on my phone to see if that helps me actually stick with it.

I used to have a NuStep machine that helped. It’s like a sitting down stair stepper. There’s one in the fitness center here but I stopped going down during the pandemic and never started up again. I’d have to get another release from my doctor to go again after all this time. I’m not good at those followup things.
