Enjoying What We Have While We Still Have It

Do you think Ziggy was right? Do you think 2018 was a better time than now? What about the future? Do you think we will have fond memories of today?

Whatever, enjoy what we have while we still have it.

I’m still enjoying playing with my plants. I cut off two of the three bean plants because they had stopped growing, but I left this one because it is still has a new little blossom. I don’t have the heart to toss it yet.

This is the last picture of my sweet potato.

I tossed it because it didn’t “spark joy.”

I planted some chick peas 10 days ago — this is what they looked like yesterday.

And I planted new mung beans 5 days ago — this is what they looked like yesterday.

I’m not expecting the new bean plants to do well — even though the days are longer, they won’t be getting the direct sun they would get in winter. I will let you know!

You’re having fun trying to grow all different kinds of things. Love it.
Over the years there have been good and bad mixed together. I think it will continue to go in the same way. Some things may get worse but as long as we are still here there are things that we can enjoy.

I enjoy seeing all these little plants bring you such joy. Sure takes the mind off of all the worldly things going on right now. I think Ziggy could be right but for me…it’s mind over matter. I have to keep the positive vibes flowing especially right now.

  6. As weird as it is, 2018 was better than 2026. Which is setting the bar very low.

  7. I don’t know if 2018 was better – but I do know it was probably not as bad as I thought. Same for today! I do think we should try to enjoy the day.

That sweet potato kind of “sparked gloom” for me! Everything else looks good! Yes, I think any year we are not in a war or a pandemic is a better year!
