Amazon.com, not the Amazon. 🙂
I needed to order a couple of connectors to finish streamlining my DSL and phone cords, and some of them were supposed to arrive yesterday. So I was happy to receive the email saying they were here.
But when I went to the door…nothing. I checked the picture the delivery person took, and it was a good one.
It not only showed the three packages and our doormat, it showed our apartment number. Amazon had done its part.
So why weren’t the packages there? There was a slight breeze so I looked the length of the porch to see if they had blown down to the other end. No, but when I looked over the railing two of them were on the ground below me. I walked (downwind) to the end of the apartments looking for the third one but didn’t see it until I was on my way back. It had somehow blown to the side of our apartment. I didn’t take the picture until later, but the package was in the shadow, about halfway the width of the building.
So mystery solved. As I’ve said before, we don’t have to leave home to have an adventure. (It pays to have a simple mind?)

…I reluctantly buy from Amazon.
The trouble is their service is so good.
It is an adventure when you have to chase down your packages. The wind was high around here as well. Hopefully nothing was damaged in your packages as they fell on the ground. Glad you recovered all three.. Enjoy this wonderful HOT day.
Nothing was damaged. The items were light.
Adventure had. Mystery solved!
🙂
That is amazing!
🙂
I sure am glad you found all of them!
Thanks. 🙂
I love Amazon. It beats running all over town to find what you need. Maybe you need a big rock by your door with a note for delivery people to use on light weight stuff.
If it happens too often I might. These items were unusually light.
This must be a very strong wind!!! I’m glad they weren’t stolen!
The surprising thing is there was just a light breeze. There must have been a gust or two.
Whew, mystery solved! I’m guessing y’all aren’t plagued with porch pirates? My DIL recently ordered a big (metal) mesh basket with a little sign asking delivery drivers to place packages in there.
No problem with porch pirates here, thank goodness.
I’m glad you were able to retrieve all your packages.
We live in a secure building where people can freely come and go only between 8 am and 8 pm. Amazon now delivers during the night. I wonder what they will do if they try that here.
That could be a problem!
I am glad that you were able to get your packages.
Thanks. 🙂
What a blessing that you found them and that they were not stolen.
They weren’t that expensive, but I did want them.
Wow, glad you found them. Good thing they didn’t blow too far away
Yes.
I am so glad that you found them. I love Amazon.
They give good service.
