Tromping Around on the Roof

Do you remember the Wednesday thunderstorm I told you about?

It turns out that afternoon there was water gushing into my study from the light fixture on the ceiling. I put a dishpan under the leak, soaked up most of the water from the rug, and told our apartment management.

The next day we heard tromping around on the roof, so presumably they fixed the problem. I’ll keep my eye on it if it rains again, but we are so glad we are living in an apartment and don’t have to worry about maintenance.

Last Tuesday they washed the house, roof, gutters, and outside walls and windows. Two young men with a hatchback car and a small trailer. There gear all organized. Took about 5 hours.
We were advised everything closed up by 8am. I was expecting to go out, but in the end stayed home as it wasn’t particularly fine..
Ibput my outdoor furniture in my bathroom, moved a few thinks including my solar charger…
The resident next to me shifted nothing, I doubt anything was totally cleaned. I’m waiting for her to moan at the trust.

…let’s hope that they were successful.

apartments are the way to go. Fridge stops cooling, AC quits, etc call the manager,… owning is a pain, any and everything we have to pay for it and DEAL with the people who come to repair…glad there was no damage

It seems like it would be a little jarring to have water coming through a light fixture! Hopefully they have it fixed, and I agree it is no nice that it is theirs to fix.

It’s nice to have someone else taking care of issues like that. Even better that they responded so quickly. Sounds like you live in a great complex.
