Can You Guess Who This Predator Is?

In 1975, a movie filmed in Martha’s Vineyard made people afraid to go into the water. Today, a real animal in Martha’s Vineyard is making people afraid to go outside. “It’s gotten to the point now that grandparents are not allowing their grandchildren to come visit them,” said Sam Telford.

Kaitlin and Torben told me about this yesterday, and I read this article last night.

Scary stuff!

That was unexpected. I was thinking a bear or some other type of wild animal like that

  2. Those things are pretty nasty to deal with!

This really IS scary to me! The tick population seems to be exploding. Last year, my best friend was bitten, just walking to her mailbox. She ended up in I.C.U. with a heart attack and almost died. Many symptoms. At first the doctors were not able to find a diagnosis. Then finally one of them asked if she might have been bitten by a tick, and bingo, a connection was made. This was a type of tick disease that I have never heard of, not a well known one. Even now she still has side effects and is wearing a heart monitor before a possible pacemaker. And now she is moving into the country!! Oy, if this was me, I would be in a high-rise by now!!

  5. Pixie says:

I was bitten by a tick once and it made me so angry, and creeped out. Now this new kind sounds ever scarier.

  6. Shug says:

I read about this yesterday. Sad thing is they are so small that you could have one on you and not even realize it.

    …ticks are a BIG deal.

  10. Linda Sand says:

I once got bitten by a tick the day after I was out and about. A tick check of my body on the day of the outing did not find any. Apparently, it came home on my jeans but didn’t bite me until I put on those same jeans the next day.

  11. Well, that’s enough to scar me from going in the woods.

  12. MadSnapper says:

this is even more scary than Jaws and Crocodile and just about any critter I can think of because ticks are sneaky.. Lymes Disease is a horror, a friend at the Y, his 15 year old daughter was in bed for all of her highschool years. she was to sick to go to school. and it took a year to figure out what she had. this new thing is the Ultimate Nightmare and this is the first time I have hear of it
