I Voted!

I love voting, preferably in person because I usually vote early and there are no lines, just friendly people checking me in.

This year our primary is June 2 and they mailed out applications for absentee ballots to anyone who hadn’t applied online. I applied, received my ballot, filled it out, and mailed it today. I still feel good about it. I love the fact that in New Mexico we fill in paper ballots and a machine records them. If there is any question they can go back and look at the originals.

Hurray for New Mexico, and hurray for being able to vote!

We started voting by mail a few years ago, and it is so easy. No one should have an excuse for not voting. We got ballots in the mail yesterday and will do our duty too.

our ballots are also paper that we mark and then put through a computer to be counted. I had planned to just wear my mask and go in person.
I vote in our west side Library. it’s lovely. and the ladies who work the polling are always so nice.
I don’t know why I get tears in my eyes always… but I do! I vote for all the women who marched and struggled for my right to vote…. who really suffered for that ‘privilege’ so many years ago!

I enjoy voting in person, and I think I could have but they encouraged us to do it by mail for the safety of everyone.

  3. I trust voting by mail more than I do with the newest machines that don’t leave a paper trail. Even with a paper copy of how you voted I worry about mass hacking from foreign countries.

We have voted by mail for decades here in Arizona.

I fear the mailins will be used to question what ever happens, no matter which side wins.. we always vote the first day they open for early voting and have never stood in line… we are debating what to do this November

I usually vote early and have no problem with lines, but they urged us to do it absentee this year so I cooperated. We will have to see how it turns out. I’m not expecting the primaries to be a problem. But I agree, the national election may be a different matter.
