I’ve watched uTubers get into problems with their GPS especially when the GPS doesn’t show them they are going to leave a paved road and end up on a dirt track!
we don’t travel or use a gps so my answer is no. this is also my first wrong gps sign. i have seen people get lost using one in movies on tv and have 2 friends, seniors they are, and they get lost a lot with theirs
I’ve never managed to use my GPS properly. For some reason it will only accept roads and not postcodes. As a road can run right round Northern Ireland, that’s not much help. So no, I’ve never got lost but I gather it happens to other people quite frequently.
I haven’t but my daughter was when she traveled to Colorado. She said the GPS said you have arrived at your destination and she knew she was definitely in the wrong place.
It helps to have someone with a map to navigate just in case. Assuming the map doesn’t lead you astray. 😀 A few weeks ago we tried getting directions from an online map and they were completely wrong. We tried another site and got an answer that made sense.
Yes, we have been led wrong once…back with just GPS. Not with gps on smart phone…but that is probably only because we don’t travel much. I know I have heard my brother and others talk about a spot or two that their gps is wrong about.
We sure have! And I wish there were more of these signs; I have never seen one.
When we were still traveling we used maps a well as our GPS navigator, but maps can be wrong too. 😀

That has happened more than once when people try traveling in the mountains. 😀
OMGOSH!!! for real?
LOL. never trust every GPS you meet! xo
Or maps that don’t distinguish dirt and paved roads.
So far, no. But, there’s always a “first”.
Cute sign.
The problem mainly happens in rural areas, I think.

When we traveled the GPS was fun, but we didn’t completely trust it so I navigated while Andy drove.
The made me laugh!
😀

No doubt about it, roads can be confusing!
I am usually not fancy enough to use gps. ?
😀
That’s too funny!

No, I’ve been lucky!
I seriously can get lost driving a straight line.
GPS has been a godsend for me!
😀
I’m pretty sure they work better in populated areas.

We don’t travel now so haven’t used it in a long time. It’s great when it works, but we have to be careful.
