According to Dark Sky the low was about -2°F up on the land, 0°F down here, this morning. Andy says there was slightly more than 10 inches of new snow because the bottom of the Jeep was dragging.
He only had to drive in it from our gate to the house…Adam had plowed one pass on the rest of our road. That helped a lot!

I remember snow that deep and pure when I was a kid, living in Northern Alberta. I must admit, though, by the time March came around, the novelty had worn off, and all we could think about was spring!
Winters here are nice because we get a lot of sun.
I can’t believe I’m going to say this but it does look beautiful!
And obviously Adam is a blessing!

that is a lot of snow to drag on the bottom of the jeep. good thing it was only a short distance. I did not know you have a fireplug, is that connected to a well? yowsa on your temps but you said you have lots of sun. that is the thing, I could stand the snow as long as sunshine was there but could not stand zero temps, so that lets me out.
The sun helps a lot. Yes, we have a fire hydrant and a faucet there. They’re connected to our 10,000-gallon water tank.
these pics remind me of the years we spent in Northern Minnesota… very near Canada… there was so much of it that it remained beautifully White! but oh… the Mud Season!!! yowser! 🙂 xo

Gorgeous! If memory serves, with little-to-no humidity it doesn’t really feel that cold? I’d never admit it to Tom, but here in Alabama the cold feels far more acute.
When it gets down to 20 or lower it’s still cold. But I still remember in France how the cold would cut through my coat even when it was above freezing. The humidity makes a big difference.
