They aren’t our elk here, they’re Roosevelt elk by Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park in California.

they are both majestic and magnificent, along with stately looking
🙂
this is so funny. it took them 1 min 10 seconds to amble accross, what with stopping for a rest. love it
How cute, the little ones! Slimmer and not so furry … they don’t look much like those in your neck of the woods, do they?
Ours tend to be hefty.
Lovely!
I love how they take their time crossing the road.
They’re used to cars waiting for them. 🙂
We are cutting through THEIR forest pathways! They were here first, and are losing their land quickly.
Save the Redwoods has preserved some of the forests there.
Love seeing them. Thanks!
