It’s sad to see that tree dying and amputated.
But I’ve been enjoying watching the pine tree outside my bedroom window grow.
Notice how late the snows were in 2016. Spring has always been wild here.

nice yearly growth on your pine tree…
🙂
What a sweet tree!
Yes. 🙂
Yes, your Spring really does have an attitude!
Boy, does it!
I totally sympathize! The trees in our yard grew along with us.
It’s fun to watch them grow. But it does take patience.
When we cut down our big old tree I hated it so bad, because Mama Squirrel raised so many of her babies there. But it was only a matter of time before it fell on our house.
It’s necessary but sad. 🙁
I love those snowy branches!
Growing up I had a similar tall pine outside my bedroom window. When my son and DIL visited last year and sent photos, the first thing I spotted was that tree. Still standing tall, it was like seeing an old friend.
I can understand that!
I hate seeing any tree have to go.
Me too!
Perfect post for Earth Day. That tree is doing well.
Thank goodness!
we have two of these pines in our back yard, and yours is growing really slowly, because it is young. ours was 1/4 the size it is now 35 years ago and all of a sudden it doubled in size and then 3/4.. we love them and your is beautiful,, it is really sad about the big one and i am wondering if they plan on taking it all the way down
That must be fun to see them start growing fast. I’m curious to see if they ever completely take the dying one down.
That tree is growing nicely.
🙂
