I feel the opposite of the woman in the cartoon — I have trouble believing it’s already the end of January. And that (meteorological) winter is two-thirds over, and that tomorrow is Groundhog Day already.
What about you? Does time seem to be zipping by, or does it seem that winter will never end?
February 1, 2026

time is zipping by like a hurricane blast for us. I just said how can it be feb already, we just had Christmas and NYear..
I know!
Is it really groundhogs day tomorrow? Wow!
🙂
…time flies because days have wings!
🙂
I think both. Time is zipping by way too fast but it also feels like winter is never going to end. Since it’s my least favorite of the seasons it always seems to drag
🙂
Glad to be done with January, it has been sooo cold this year.
🙂
Yes mam…this was a very fast January around here. I honestly enjoy being in the first early months of a year.
🙂
Absolutely! It seems it should slow down as my life does but somehow it’s in overdrive.
🙂
It sure does zip by and this has been the longest 57 days of January ever!
🙂
Speeding faster and faster! The older I get, the more time speeds up. There is actually a scientific reason for this, but it is too hard for me to process!
🙂
It’s going by way too fast for me!
🙂
I’m with your fictional character! This month sure seems to have out-stayed it’s welcome; I’m ready to jump back in the fast lane.
Hopefully February will be better for you. 🙂
I live in Minnesota. We have 2-3 months of winter still to go. I’m still happy to watch it through our big windows that face a nature preserve, though.
Yes, you have a great place to live. 🙂
It’s certainly not very summery in New Zealand. Alot of rain, damp and at times cold, but not needing inside house heat.
Just had a few days of hot, sticky and no rain.
Today overcast and drizzle
But then it’s suddenly February, how did that happen!
Yes, how did that happen? 🙂
Both.
I’m so sorry about Judy.
I love ?? Winter so it isn’t too long for me. The cartoon made me laugh.
