Ginny said she likes pastels and light, but the Nordic scheme mentioned in yesterday’s post was too spartan. Maybe we should try English cottage? I told ChatGPT that, and hopefully if you click here you can read its full answer.
It did like Ginny’s suggestion:
English cottage could be a very natural fit here because it softens the starkness problem without becoming overly themed. It’s warm, layered, forgiving, and especially friendly to quilting.
and
A quilt in progress can look like part of the décor instead of clutter….
And quilting naturally harmonizes with cottage and English-country styles in a way that feels effortless rather than staged.
So that was a great suggestion, but we still don’t know what Betty and Bub decided.

…a dear friend gave me a quilt and a sign that says, “a bed without a quilt is like a the sky without stars!”
I like this quote!
So do I!
I think English cottage would be a great look. Couldn’t get anything at the link, it told me I had to sign in.
That’s too bad.
It will be interesting to see what decision they make. I guess they will have to come to some agreements on this. I know that around here, I like Light and Sam tend to lean more towards the dark… We would both have to have a debate on which would be best for both us. Thank you so much for keeping Sam in your prayers.??
I like light too. I’m not sure if they will tell us what Betty and Bub decide.
I like both looks Norwegian and some English cottage
Same here.
I think I wills stick with Nordic designs and colors.
I would like a bit more color, but I like the light walls.
I’m sure not good at picking out colors for painting projects!
It’s hard, because colors look so different depending on light, surrounding colors.
Thanks! so I’m thinking the first three pics in the link are English Cottage? That’s more like it! Waiting to see what style Betty & Bub will choose, and how they will do their decor!
🙂
This is such fun! I kind of hate for Betty and Bub’s project to end.
I think it has now — without telling us what they end up with.
I still have not tried AI.
Bob and I both prefer, jungle look, and since we live in Florida, and threre are no basements, we would have a Florida Room, windows on all 3 sides with a beautiful back yard like we used to have until the drought…
