Company

We were hoping that the workmen would have started the painting by the time Kaitlin, Torben and grandpuppies came yesterday evening, but Joe had to help with another job so things went more slowly this past week. By the time we left today they had almost finished the siding on the west side and were installing the last door. They still have to finish the siding on the east side and have scheduled an inspection next week for both the shed and the framing of the house. A major step!

We had a good time anyway. We took a tour of the inside of the house and the shed, had a leisurely lunch on the east patio and took a walk so Sammy and Montana could walk off leash. (They were on leash because of the workmen.)

Sammy and Montana waiting patiently while we ate lunch.

We’ll go up again tomorrow and Saturday, and the four visitors will camp out on the land tomorrow night. They will start the two-day drive back Sunday, and hopefully when they come again they can stay in a finished house.

How was your week?

Thanks to Mike, Cathy, bikehikebabe, Dixie and Rummuser for commenting on last week’s post.

flashed by – did this week. I think mainly because I wasn’t concentrating so hard on art-making (the waiting assessment) and also a few absolutely glorious fine days; even though yesterday started with a very thick fog…- I tried to get some pictures of the fog but it didn’t seem to work as I wanted it to…also because of the fog a lot of spiders webs were showing in near naked trees around my house, but alas couldn’t get them on film!

Forget my week. Your’s was wonderful. 1st pic.– Montana is NOT waiting patiently.

Your view is wonderful too. I forgot about the view with the trees gone. Views are most important & good without trees blocking them.

Intense, but I think things are moving in positive directions

Visits by my cousin and my sister. Cheered me up quite a bit. A lot of research to find one particular delicacy that my father wanted and a great sigh of relief when I found it in a shop about 12 kms away and got it for him. Shopping with my sister and a great lunch with her and Ranjan at our favourite restaurant. The rest, you don’t want to know.

  5. bikehikebabe says:

Yes of course we want to know, Rummuser.

seems like most of us have had “aha” moments, some positive vibes and some progress…I just couldn’t believe that the week (for me) had dashed past. I think it was the glorious weather which has continued right into the weekend.

    Cathy,
I’m so glad you’re involved with art and photography..even if some things are hard to take pictures of. And I’m glad you had some spirit-lifting weather.

    BHB,
Actually Montana was being patient. She’s still young and has a lot of energy, but she’s very well behaved. Sammy will be ten years old this December, so he’s more apt to wait lying down.

    Evan,
Good luck! We’re rooting for you.

    Rummuser,
I agree, focus on the good things and be grateful for them.
