Do you make New Year’s resolutions? I’m more like Calvin, for years now mine has been “Continue what I’ve been doing.” I’m making a lot of lifestyle changes right now for preventive maintenance, but I started a couple of months ago, and there’s no deadline, just a long term commitment.

Whatever your view on resolutions, Happy New Year!

I have never had much faith in New Years Resolutions because something always gets in the way – usually something far better than just staying alive!

    • Cathy in NZ says:

oh and the people who insist you should have them – haven’t lived any kind of life, which like you, CM are just to continue what has worked, you love and are already doing…

    • Jean says:

When I was younger I used to make them, and I found them energizing. The trick was to pick ones that were easily to do. 😉

    LOL!
i relate to every cartoon here.
i’m continually resolving to EAT BETTER. well. more healthfully.
but like calvin… just going to stick to my strengths.
    now.
where did i put them? 🙂

  3. I love the eat what you want diet! Works for me.

  4. LOVE the cartoons! I’m with you — I’m just continuing on. I’ve been on eat-better-journey since June, and it’s a struggle, but one worth trying to stay on course with.

    • Jean says:

Big changes take a while, so we need patience as well as persistence. I agree, the effort is worth it.

Happy New Year to you, too!

  5. Mike says:

Nope, no resolutions here, other than recognizing I have to spend more time on health and fitness, but no specific resolutions or goals.

Best wishes for the new year!!! 😉

    • Jean says:

Spending more time on health and fitness is what I’m doing, too. I do better if I have a lot of options and don’t get too specific. It’s more enjoyable for me if I have choices.

      Best wishes to you, too!

  6. Rummuser says:

No, I don’t. No more great goals to achieve. My routine is quite satisfying without bringing in anything new.

    • Jean says:

?? I thought you wrote you wanted to write more posts this year. Have you changed your mind or did I just imagine that?

    • Jean says:

“…I now bid goodbye to 2015 and set myself a target to reach 2300 posts by the time 2016 ends.” Some people would call that a resolution.

  7. Cindi says:

Ok, this is my third try.
Hope this works because otherwise I’m giving up and you’ll never know I tried.
I used to write a list of resolutions.
Then I’d feel horrid when I eventually broke them.
So I am most like the last comic.
I have some resolutions in my head but I’m just winging it so I don’t feel so bad later.
    😉

    Happy New Year, Jean.
