In fairness to my Kindle Paperwhite I have no trouble reading it in the sun, and I love the fact I can read my books in large print. Being able to carry many books in a small package is a plus too, but mainly I love the fact it is easy on my poor old eyes.

AMEN!
I don’t know why I fought having one for so long.
I am loving my kindle. the marine gave his old one to me when he upgraded.
I just love it!
They really are easy on the eyes. 🙂
ok…not particularly on my horizon at this point…even real books have disappeared from my “eye” – I just got tired of endless words, or something…
You have plenty of other things in your life to keep you engaged!
I am a kindle fan too and though Ranjan has got himself the latest, I am still plodding along with my old one which is giving excellent service. My reason for the kindle is that I simply don’t have space for additional hard copy books at home!
They do save a lot of room!
I’m addicted to paperbacks and see no need for a kindle. I read slowly so a couple of paperbacks in my holiday baggage will last me the whole holiday with no trouble.
That works fine since you don’t need the large print.
I purposely got an iPad Mini on which I installed the Kindle app. I prefer paper but keep a few books on my Kindle to read if I travel or am in waiting rooms — small, compact, fits in my purse for carrying inconspicuously.
Yes, it’s not an either-or, they are both useful.
