Tempi

Tempi has changed a lot since we last saw her — she’s much more calm and pensive, more mature.

Thanks, Torben!

But her brain still works just fine. Apparently when Andy and I left Saturday evening she make sure she had Kaitlin’s eye and walked over to the couch, climbed up and sat down. She knew full well that it’s just the older folks who made that stupid rule no dogs on the couch, and we were gone.

Kaitlin told her to get down, but she wasn’t about to give in that easily. It was only when Kaitlin said, “Get down, NOW!” that she reluctantly gave in. What a stupid rule. You can’t blame a gal for trying.

LOLOL!!! I think it’s called pushing the envelope. 😀
she probably can’t figure it out. I mean in Tempi talk it’s not like she was going to CHEW on it! or then again… it could be very tempting! XOXO

Actually I think she did figure it out. She waited until we had left, then made sure Kaitlin was watching. She can get on the couch at home, but not on the land or at Torben’s folks’ place. It was completely plausible that maybe the rule was it’s all right if the old folk don’t see it.

She really is smart! Kaitlin and Torben had the dog trainers come over for a bit after they got Zoe. Tempi pretends she’s sleeping when they are there, and they pretended to go out so she got up, then she saw their backpack was still there and went back to her pretend sleep mode until they were gone for good.

  2. definitely pushing the envelope – whilst my K & T are thinking about leaving the old folk, maybe they are a bit sad, they won’t notice me…oops they did notice! Dam, now what shall I try next…

She made sure Kaitlin was watching — she wasn’t trying to be sneaky. She was checking to see what the rule really was.

Typical behaviour indeed. There is a ding dong battle here too with the older bloke more lenient than the martinet younger ones.

Tempi would say it’s just the opposite, although it’s Torben who decided pups can be on the couch. He’s the softy in the family.
