Rained Out

Andy didn’t take any pictures yesterday because it was foggy and rainy, and no one came up to work on the greenhouse.

As you can see from the picture, we had a nice rain down here.

Andy said in spite of no sun and and an outside temperature of 48°F, it was still comfortably warm in the greenhouse.

you know I would love this. and this picture.
we haven’t had rain the last few times it’s been predicted. it has rained all around us but not here. a real puzzlement!
I’m so glad the greenhouse is almost done. your weather might not hold for days at a time now. it’s good the major part of the job is completed. xo

I thought of you when I took the picture. 🙂

Once they can finish the siding and get the roofing on it should be weatherproof. Hopefully that will be soon. Needless to say, we’re happy it’s so far along.

  2. We’ve had a little rain here too. Also cooler temps.

  3. Are you guys going to start a greenhouse diary to track temperatures, soil testings and amendments, planting dates, visitors, etc.? I knew a guy who had a small home greenhouse and he kept one for years.

    • Jean says:

Andy has already put a temperature data logger in the greenhouse. He has a lot more in various places and he downloads the data the beginning of every month.

We are supposed to get some tomorrow…may actually start tonight. We shall see…

  5. my new online friend, is in Helena or is it Boseman, Montana and they had snow this last week…and the autumn leaves haven’t even started. Anyway they got I think in their township, enough to keep people off the streets…

we saw some sun today…it wasn’t scorching hot, as I noted later I hadn’t had all my last weeks extra layer on, but I certainly wasn’t in shirt sleeves…
